Isaac Salmond was born on April 13, 1936 to the union of Boykin Salmond and Laura Lewis in the city of Camden, South Carolina.
He was united in holy matrimony to the former Quincy Lee Bryant and was married for 60 years. Their union was blessed with two children.
Isaac enlisted into the Marines Corps on October 22, 1953 and rose to rank Corporal. He received a Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged on October 21, 1957.
In his leisure, he enjoyed cooking for his family. Professionally Isaac was a cook at Kings County Hospital and Cuddy before retiring.
Isaac Salmond departed this life on September 5, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, four brothers and three sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Quincy Salmond; two children: Janice Salmond and Tanya (Junior) Threatt; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother in-law; a host of sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. His motto was: “Keep Pushing Forward and Don’t Go Back.”
