Owner
Tony
L. Autry is the owner of Monroe Mortuary Services. He is a native of Ansonville, NC. He is the youngest child of Paul L. Autry
and the late Rachel Thomas Autry.
He
graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, Atlanta, GA with a
degree in funeral service. His commitment and compassion for the families he
serves has earned him a reputation for providing excellent customer service, professionalism,
and dignified funeral service to people of all nationalities and
religions. He has worked in Mecklenburg
County Medical Examiner’s Office as a Forensic Autopsy Technician for 10 plus
years.

Association, Inc., and the Piedmont District of FD&MA NC.
Chairman of the Board
Paul Levander Autry is a resident of Ansonville, NC. He is a member of New Zion Baptist Church, Peachland, NC where he serves as a deacon. Paul is a member of the West Deep Creek Masonic Lodge #382, Wadesboro, NC.
Paul is a proud parent of five adult children. He was married to the late Mrs. Rachel Thomas Autry for nearly 60 years.
Funeral Director & General Manager
Deborah
J. Brice is general manager of Monroe Mortuary Services. She has over 21 years
of experience in Funeral Service. She is a graduate of Shaw University
and Forsyth Technical Community College. Additionally, Deborah has worked
as a Flight Attendant and Customer Service Agent. She is the mother of an adult
son.
Deborah holds professional memberships with the Funeral Directors & Morticians Association of NC, Inc., National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association, Inc., and the Western District of FD&MA NC.
In Deborah's leisure, she enjoys singing and participating in church activities at Moore's Sanctuary AME Zion Church in Charlotte, NC. She is the mother of one adult son and grandmother of one granddaughter.
Funeral Director /Mortician
Michael D. Davis has worked in funeral service since 1990. He holds an associate degree from
Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science, Class of 1996.
He enjoys traveling and spending time with his fiancé, Veronica Alexander. He is proud to serve the state of North Carolina with funeral services. He counts it an honor to be on staff at Monroe Mortuary Services.
Michael is licensed by the Int. Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards and North Carolina Board of Funeral Service.
In Michael’s
leisure, he enjoys playing tuba in the brass band with the United House of
Prayer for All People.
Marketing Director & Administrator
Frederick L. Allen is a native of Chesterfield County, SC. He is responsible for marketing and daily office operations. He brings over 20 years of marketing/design and office experience to the firm.
Frederick is a licensed and ordained minister that has served the body of Christ for many years. He has a strong background in the areas of music ministry and office administration. Frederick is the Minister of Music at the oldest African American Church in Monroe, the Greater Mount Calvary African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Monroe, NC.
He serves as the aftercare facilitator to the families that Monroe Mortuary Services serve and is the monument sales representative.
He served as the Executive Assistant to the Metrolina Alliance of Pastors in Charlotte, NC for over 10 years. He served as the Marketing Coordinator for Nations Ford Community Church in Charlotte, NC for many years;
Frederick's educational background includes: Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC, Professional Career Development Institute (Ashworth College) in Norcross, GA and Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
Frederick holds professional memberships with the FD&MA of NC, Inc., NFD&MA, Inc., and the Piedmont District of FD&MA NC. Additional memberships includes: Music Industry Network, Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, Charlotte Marketing & Advertising Group, Young Professionals of Charlotte and Charlotte Business Professionals.
Funeral Assistant
Darrell W. Steele is a native of Kannapolis, NC and a 1985 graduate of A.L. Brown High School. He is a Charter member of New Life Independent Baptist Church, Concord, NC. He brings over 20 years of experience. Darrell is the father of two sons.
Funeral Assistant & Organist
Demetra S. Manns-Marsh is a native of Henry
County, VA. She serves as a funeral
attendant and organist for Monroe Mortuary Services.
Demetra is a member of Thompson Chapel African
Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Mineral Springs, NC and serves in many other
capacities including Wadesboro Monroe District Minister of Music, Thompson Chapel
Minister of Music and Christian Education Director.
She graduated from Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, NC with a BA degree in Psychology. She is a May Kay Consultant, Partner at The AM Group, Owner of Start 2 Finish Event Boutique and Fashionable YOU, Executive Director at Restoration House, Inc., CEO at DSM Ministries and she is the author of three publications: "5 Years Later & He's Still My Best friend," "My Past, My Purpose, My Destiny" and "Real Sisters Real Talk Magazine." She's a member of Women's Philanthropy and Network Charlotte. She is a currently General Ed/ Special Ed Teacher 9th grade in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
Demetra is married to Danny R. Marsh with two children. She enjoys crafting, reading and spending time with her family.
Funeral Assistant
Frederick L. Autry joined Monroe Mortuary Services as a Funeral Assistant. He has lived in Union County most of all of his life.
Frederick is the pastor of Greater Harvest Outreach Ministry. He has been in ministry for over 18 years and enjoys working with youth. Frederick is passionate about learning the profession and working in the community that he knows and loves.
